What the shop takes in

Bob’s is a service shop as well as a rental yard. Replacement parts for the equipment they service are stocked at the counter.

Repairs aren’t booked through the rental calendar. Call ahead or bring the machine in and the counter will tell you where they are.

  • Lawn mowers

    Push and self-propelled mowers — service, repair and blade work.

  • Riding tractors

    Lawn tractors and riding mowers.

  • Snow blowers

    Single and two-stage machines, before the first storm ideally.

  • String trimmers

    Trimmers and edgers.

  • Chain saws

    Saws serviced, and chains sharpened while you wait where possible.

Sharpening

Chain and blade sharpening.

Worth knowing before you bring it in

  • A dull chain is the usual reason a saw seems to have lost power — it is worth trying a sharpen before deciding the saw is finished.
  • Mower blades cut better and stress the engine less when they're sharp, and a clean cut is what stops a lawn browning at the tips.
  • Bring the chain or the blade rather than the whole machine where you can — it's quicker at the counter.
